Thanks to the internet we now have access to all sorts of information, like the latest news, videos, funny games, and so on. Thanks to the internet we can also stay in touch with the people we care about – via email messages, social networking services, instant messaging applications, and so on. Everybody loves to socialize. Proof of that is the fact that Facebook for example has several hundred registered users.

The VIMAS Technologies-developed Web Voice Chat is similar to regular instant messaging applications; the difference is that it allows websites to implement IM and video chat functionality.

As the name so clearly points out, Web Voice Chat is not limited to sending instant messages. It also allows you to talk to your friends. You know, just like making a phone call, just that you and your friend are using Web Voice Chat. You can also use Web Voice Chat to send files to the people you’re talking to.

As VIMAS Technologies explained, Web Voice Chat can be used for voice/text communication between teacher and students for distance learning web based applications, for voice communication between customer and help desk on e-commerce web sites, and for voice communication between remote offices on corporate websites.

With Web Voice Chat the user has access to a public room that provides text chat; to private rooms that allow 2 users to text and voice chat as well as send files; and to conference rooms that allow several users to voice chat.

The Web Voice Chat download weighs in at less than 1MB, meaning it should complete in no time at all. Once downloaded, the application can be easily integrated into a website, thus providing said website with the means to talk to visitors.

Using the Web Video Chat will set you back a pretty penny. You see, the application is not freeware and the license is quite expensive.
